All of our wine is grown, produced, and bottled by us on one of our four Maryland farms. We started out at our Black Ankle farm with 12 varietals and 20 acres of vines planted in 2003 and 2004. Those vines gave us the grapes that we used in making our first vintage of wines in 2006 for our first bottling in 2008 and have been going strong ever since.
Over the years we have added three more farms, 88 acres of vines and three more varietals for a total of 16 varietals - seven white and nine red.
Our white grapes are: Albariño, Chardonnay, Chardonel, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc (our newest!), Viognier, and a tiny bit of Muscat.
Our red grapes are: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Tempranillo.
