The Basics

While we will always do our best to accommodate you however you arrive, we do recommend reservations, which help us to give you the best possible experience, particularly for indoor seating where space is more limited.  You can make a reservation by clicking here.

Indoor Reservations

When choosing this experience, you are reserving an indoor table in our Tasting Room. Once you are here, you may choose to do a featured tasting at one of our Tasting Room bars or you can enjoy wine by the glass, bottle or flight.  You can also order your first selection of wine (and food) ahead of time so it will be ready for you when you arrive.

Outdoor Reservations

When choosing this experience, you are reserving an outdoor table on our Patio, Terrace, Courtyard or Lawn areas. For a full description of our Outdoor areas, click here.

Once you are here, you may choose to do a featured tasting at one of our bars or you can enjoy wine by the glass, bottle or flight.  You can also order your first selection of wine (and food) ahead of time so it will be ready for you when you arrive.

Our outdoor spaces are dog friendly (all dogs must be on a leash while on the farm)!

FEATURED TASTING

Join us at any bar where a BAV Wine Educator will share a bit of the Black Ankle story and take you on an in-depth journey of our current releases. Featured tastings are complimentary for members and theirs guests. Reservations for tastings are not necessary! A featured tasting can be added on to any visit type.

Member Table-side Tasting

The Member Tableside Tasting allows you to have a quieter, more in-depth tasting option from the comfort of a table and away from the bustling atmosphere of the tasting bar.  Seated and guided by a wine educator, you will taste through the featured member tasting with a little more time to get into the nitty gritty.  The tasting usually takes about 10-15 minutes, and is offered by reservation only so we can have your table set and ready before you and your guests arrive. Like our traditional bar tastings, the table-side tasting is complimentary to members and their guests. After your tasting is complete the table is yours for as long as you would like to stay.

Specialty Experiences

Black Ankle Uncorked

Uncorked is a curated experience that goes beyond just a flight or glass of wine with cheese.  It is the perfect choice for a special occasion, a particularly thoughtful gift or a treat for yourself!

An individualized and educational experience, each Uncorked includes a dedicated Black Ankle Wine Educator who will help you design your experience and host your group during your visit. From a private tour through the winery to a customized wine tasting in the cellar, the possibilities are endless!

Although this experience is completely customizable, our team has built three unique and informative options to help you get the ideas flowing. Upon confirmation of your reservation, our Event Coordinator will reach out to you via email to curate your experience.

Black Ankle Vertical – $165
A side-by-side vertical tasting featuring 3 vintages of a premium Black Ankle cuvée

A private tasting of premium wines from past to present paired with a curated spread of local cheeses and fare. Count on library wines in this experience with the possibility of tasting a pre-release! This is a great opportunity for our guests who are curious about the aging process and

history of their favorite wines.

Sip With A Pro – $150
Enjoy delicious wines, small bites, and captivating conversation

A Black Ankle Wine Educator will sit as a guest at your table and taste along with you while talking about wine, wine-making, and characteristics of different wines around the world. Enjoy this private experience of our wines paired with a cheese and charcuterie board created by our chef with products from local purveyors.

BAV 101 – $130
Take a deep dive into the history, philosophy and wines of Black Ankle

Immerse yourself in the Black Ankle story by going on an in-depth private tour of our vineyard and winery with one of our educators, followed by a tasting of our current wines. Includes a pairing of selected cheeses and charcuterie.

Proposing at black ankle

Our Proposal Package is designed to take the stress out of planning your special day so you can concentrate on the important things! From breathtaking vineyard views to a personalized experience tailored just for you, we’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to. Whether it’s a private, intimate setting or a grand gesture, our team will work with you to create the perfect proposal. Our package includes one hour with our wonderful event coordinator, Jen, prior to the proposal date as well as a dedicated coordinator to orchestrate your proposal the day of. You'll also receive a guaranteed table reservation for three hours with a dedicated server (plus a special take-home gift from BAV for the happy couple). The package is priced on tiers, so you can keep the day just between the two of you, or invite family and friends out to celebrate! All you need to focus on is the moment—and we’ll handle the rest. Let us help you create a memory that will last a lifetime.

Large Party Options

Sometimes your group stretches to beyond the limits of a regular reservation.  While we are great believers in "the more the merrier" a little advance planning can help us to ensure that your visit goes smoothly.

Terrace Gatherings

The Terrace Gathering is a Semi-Private Experience that is perfect for Large Groups!

Large groups are considered parties of 12-25 guests.  For these groups we offer large table seating with access to enhanced experiences to entertain your parties. Groups will be hosted on our Outdoor Terrace, offering panoramic views of our vines to set the scene for your soiree.

Terrace Gatherings require a pre-payment of $18/guest. The payment you make guarantees you seating tailored to your group size and dedicated staff and bar service. All reservations for this experience are three and half hours.

Lawn Only Reservations

Join us for a relaxed, picnic-style visit on the beautiful lawn at Black Ankle Vineyards. With sweeping vineyard views and plenty of open space, a Lawn Reservation is perfect for those looking to enjoy great wine in a laid-back, outdoor setting.

Please note: Lawn Reservations do not include access to any tables or seating in our Patio, Terrace, or Courtyard areas. Lawn guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets, folding chairs, small tables, or even pop-up tents for shade to create their own cozy setup.

Feel free to bring along your favorite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, and well-behaved dogs on a leash are always welcome. Due to the nature of our liquor license, we cannot allow any outside alcohol. Please let your guests know that prior to arriving.
