2021 Grüner Veltliner
Light and dry, with a full mouthfeel that is balanced by bright acidity. Grüner is a perfect substitute for those Sauvignon Blanc fans – plenty of citrus, minerality, and yummy juicy notes. Look for flavors of lemon, grapefruit, apricot, and yellow apple followed by a long delightful finish that carries a hint of white pepper.

Grüner Veltliner (pronounced: grew-ner velt-LEE-ner but sometimes called Gruve (groovy) or just Grüner) is a very versatile food wine that makes an ideal palate cleanser. Grüner pairs well with classic Austrian dishes or all things spice. It can even be paired with the most challenging of foods, think artichoke and grilled asparagus. Over 75% of Grüner Veltliner wines come from Austria, yet we have had much success here in the United States in making this wine in several different styles; from a light and dry wine such as this to a sparkling wine (yes, a sparkling!
